Publisher's Description

Have you ever felt that something is just not as it ought to be in Christianity today? Yet you're afraid to give voice to the feeling. You wonder, "Would saying so be speaking against God?" Don't be afraid. In God's Word, Old Testament and New, whenever things got off the track, God Himself was the first one to say so. That's the only way God can keep the Church clean: by exposing the problem and then giving the remedy. A great example of this is found in the seven letters to the Asian congregations recorded in Revelation 2 and 3. This book is an expose of modern Christendom's getting off the track, a clear description of just what the track is, and how believers can get back on it. It also shows how failing to do so will result in eternal loss. Don't be afraid to examine your faith. Jesus actually commands us to do so. Embark on the brave Bible adventure of making your calling and election sure. You'll be glad you did.

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I was first saved at the tender age of eight years old. Not very long after this, the Lord gave me a song, which my sister and I sang in church. At the age of 17 I became an avid Bible scholar, wanting to know that what I was being taught in church was actually what the Bible teaches. Over the years, I wrote many articles, fillers, poems, and songs. I published a Christian novel, which I call "a prodigal daughter story," in audio book form in 1989 and later in paperback, in 1996. Then I wrote two Gospel tracks, one of which bears the same title as the book in this description, Is Your Jesus the Bible Jesus? After the publication of that tract, God laid in on my heart to write a full-length book with the same title and focusing on just one aspect covered in the tract. I am now nearing 80 years of age and still writing for the Lord. I've written somewhere around 300-350 Gospel songs, and I am working on a couple more Christian novels. I am also a mother of six, grandmother of 20, and great-grandmother of, well, several. Over the years, I have labored for God in the Sunday School, Music, Publishing, and Media ministries.

What was your motivation behind this project?  My motivation for writing Is Your Jesus the Bible Jesus was simple. Through decades of Bible Study, I had learned that there are a lot of things going on under the banner of "Christendom" that are, sadly, actually under what God's Word calls "damnable heresies," and "doctrines of devils." The pure discipleship we read about in the New Testament is sorely lacking among so-called Christian churches. And, as a consequence, many "believers" are placing faith in a "Jesus" which is straight out of the imaginations of men and which can not save. Realizing this, and the eternal implications it poses for untold numbers of my fellowmen and women, my heart was greatly burdened to ask "Christian" people the question of this book's title -- Is Your Jesus the Bible Jesus? In helping readers assess their faith, I don't use well-known theologians or commentators. I use ONLY the Word of God. But the Word of God tells the answer! And it's a lot simpler than one might imagine.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  My burden is that those trusting in false ideas of who and what Christ is, will find true saving faith in the real Son of God.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I was made even much more aware of the snares of those "false Christs and false prophets" that Jesus and the Apostles said would arise. And I was pressed with a horrific burden to reach out and help. This made my appreciation for pure Bible teachings immensely more real.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I highly respect Paul Bunyon's "Pilgrim's Progress, as well as the writings of Emerson A. Wilson and Earl R. Borders, who also use(d) only the holy Scriptures for the basis of their doctrines.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Oh, definitely yes. I want them to know that I didn't write Is Your Jesus the Bible Jesus? to merely attack anyone or anything -- except false Christianity -- or to promote a pet theory of my own. Through Bible study, I have found that some of my own beliefs were erroneous, and I hastened to measure up to the Divine Measure. As someone has said, I am just a beggar telling other beggars where I found bread.
