The Big Wave is the story of two young Japanese boys whose lives are changed forever when a tsunami crashes against their island and takes Jiya's entire family. As Jiya struggles with his loss, with the help of his friend Kino he learns that life is stronger than death, and as his heart heals he finds he is ready to live again.
